Hey, I’m Vance Dotson. I used to work on an oil rig. Back in 2004, I got denied a loan for an unpaid medical bill derogatory on my credit report. This was a bill that my health insurance was supposed to cover. And when the insurance didn’t pay it, the hospital sent the bill to collections. It ended up on my report and tanked my FICO.

When I disputed the debt, I lost.
